EVE: The Future of Human Reproduction

The year is 2052. Advances in human biology have allowed parents of all types — including gay, older, and infertile couples — to have babies with their own genes without egg or sperm donors, or surrogates. This is an exploration of the future experience of human reproduction. Parents would be able to create sperms and eggs from skin cells through IVG (in-vitro gametogenesis) and choose the most robust embryo(s) to the implant. EVE (Ex-vivo Uterine Environment), an artificial external womb that carries a baby through the entire 9 months of gestation, would provide parents who cannot or choose not to carry their children naturally. The EVE experience can provide a new option for parents to bond with their child during pregnancy without emotion and physical pain, lifestyle changes, or career breaks. Parents can also share the experience and monitor the health of the fetus.  Would you choose EVE?
